Default Light bulb not staying put

I recently bought some 7440 Light bulbs for my front turn signals. They work fine but I noticed when I put them in the bulb slot they were really easily taken out. In other words, they didnt click like the rest of the bulbs I have put in that slot. I tried putting some electrical tape around the base of them but about a week later, they end up coming loose again.

Anyone have any ideas on how I could keep the bulbs from sliding out?

You could replace the socket or try to bend the metal tabs in the socket (with the battery disconnected first).

They should carry replacement bulb sockets at Kragen, Walmart, dealer, etc.
