I already searched the FAQ and didn't find anything about this. I currently have the apexi VAFC and I am about to go and get my car tuned and I was wondering should I upgrade to the VAFCII before I get it tuned for more horsepower or would it be no difference. I am also about buy I chipped ECU before I get it tuned.

you don't need a vafc and a standalone like crome, hondata, or neptune. Don't get an ebay special chipped ecu...they're junk

 

I was going to buy one from http://www.phearable.net. Are those ones good? Also you didn't really answer my question about the VAFC.

 

I went with a chipped ECU just to ditch the rev-limiter......
I don't expect power gains from chipped ecus....
Just tuned your stock ECU with a vafc1.

 

just get it tuned with the vafc, I tuned mine with a vafc1(dyno-tune) and gained 4-5whp and a ton of mid-range torque just with basic bolt-ons and it runs perfect ...just hope the tuner knows what hes doing
