OT: A somber 4th of July for me...
Sorry for the OT. But any and all prayers are welcomed.
My cousin Victor Soto Jr., 28 years old, was involved in a high speed, single vehicle accident yesterday on his Hayabusa.
Leading to the amputation of his left leg from just above the knee and possible waist down paralysis. The doctors are 50/50 on him regaining the feeling in his lower half. The doctors also unanimously agree that the helmet saved his life.
He's currently in ICU at Jacobi Medical Center. I was able to see him today, he was coherent even with all the morphine. He said my name, and, said "I fucked up cuz, I lost my leg" as tears rolled down his cheek. I was blubbering.
This has been the shittiest rainy 4th of July of my life.
To all HT members that own sportbikes, please wear a helmet and be safe out there.

Regards H.
From him talking to I think he's in a lot better shape then he actually should be in, he's talking to you.
Hope he has function of the rest of his body when all is said and done with.
