Good tires: P18560R14 Dunlop SP-A2?
Hey guys~
After my last final, I ran into the parking lot to drive home and go to a party...only to find that I had a flat tire...grr....anyway, I want to get a new set of tires for my car.
I visited the local "Just Tires" and their highest end tire for this size is the Dunlop SP-A2 which the salesman claimed to be a great handling tire. Has anyone here tried it? Is 353.71$ a good price for all 4 tires, tax, and installation/balancing?
Do you guys recommend any other tires? I'm shooting for tires around the 350 buck range, less if at all possible. Thanks guys!

Haven't tried them. Don't know about the price. But, I have heard a lot of good reports on the wet and dry performance of these tires. I'm thinking of getting them next time I need new ones.
why not falken azenis 195/60/14?
$208 shipped from http://www.tires.com then take it to americas tires and get them mounted for another $48. less than what "just tires" would charge you im sure.

The Falken Azenis is the best tire in the universe when it comes to bang for the buck! You can spend TONS more money on an allseason tire like the Dunlop SP-A2. And you will not have nearly as good of a performance tire. The only advantage to going with the SP-A2 is longer tread life. But then again, the Azenis is sufficiently cheap that frequent replacement is not an extremely big deal.

buy bridgestone potenza so-3 pole positions. i LOVE these tires
i haven't had any personal experience with azenis, but have heard they aren't good on wet roads and no traction in snow..
i've had serveral different bridgestone tires..so-3, re730, re950 is what i have right now..and i LOVE them..AND they're almost as cheap as azenis. pole positions are on sale at tire rack for like 58 bucks a tire.
If you are referring to the fact that the Azenis is not available in a 185/60/14, don't worry about it. The Azenis is available in a 195/60/14. And the truth of the matter is that almost every CRX owner under the sun who has kept their stock 14 inch rims has upgraded to a 195/60/14 (and a handful of people have upgraded to a 195/55/14). There are certainly no problems with using a 195/60/14 on a CRX.
No, azenis are summer tires only, NO snow, but i think they're pretty good in the wet and they're as good as racing tires in the dry
Have them on the CRX Si and they are fine so far. First experience with them, but all of the reports I've read find few things to fault them. The price for your set is not bad either-I paid more at NTB. These are not the race setup, nor would I recommend them for that.

im sorry but i have kept these rims for last 2 months for racing. It is the other way around for m put 16"ers on for cruising but at track pop on the stock alloys w/ anzies. There a damn good tire for anysize wheel.
go to walmart and order some 185/60/14 goodyear eagle hp's...i have em and i like em...i think they are a decent sporty all-season tire, its like 280 for 4 installed with mounting/balancing and the tire protection plan, i dont know any other store that has that plan...

I just put a set on my 92 Si. I complained about how crappy the car handeled ever since I bought it. It felt like a boat. I put these tires on it, and its about 10 million times better than it was with the Toyos that were on it when I bought it. They're great in the rain, and really good for an all season tire in the dry. They're not as good as my AVS's, but they're probably the best All Season M + S tire I've ever had.
As for the price.... I mount and balance my own tires, so I ordered them from tire rack at $50 a piece. $200 + shipping for 4 tires was a good deal IMO. You would have to find a shop that would Mount and Balance them for you for cheap because most guys are obvisouly pissed if you bring your own tires. They'll charge you like $25 a wheel to balance or something rediculous. My recomendation would be to call your local Vocational School and ask if their autoservice class will do it. Those places usually charge you about $2.00 for weights and nothing more. If they'll do it, order from the rack. 2 day shipping is under $30 I think.

I am using the same tire and I definitely like it, it is very very quiet on the road and I can't even hear it when driving 95mph on a concrete freeway.
Regarding to price, I got them for $51+shipping from tirerack and install and balance is only $20 each for me.
