im wondering if any of u have ever seen a 125cc shifter cart run down the strip ?

Saw one of those shifter carts run a 3rd gen rx7 on the 1/4. the cart was out the hole like a bullet but was eventually caught at the end. We don't have /8th mile time but ti ran 14.0 in the 1/4. I will see if I can find the 60ft time.

shifters are slow in the 1/4 mile cause if gearing. but with a bigger sprocket they are good for the 1/8th. i figure his cart will be around 100mph in the 1/8th.
but we will see.
boost....
got the motor put together. did u see the pics of the head?
it came back from the machine shop looking very nice. forgot to take a pic of it fixed. ill get one when it blows up the next time.

I used to drag race a 125cc dirt bike on a dirt track. It was 1/8th mile and the bike I had was pretty much the fastest in the class. It ran 7.40's 1/8 on dirt in a bike. I even ran the 250cc class and ended up with 5th place in that class
I'm going with the cart as well just due to the concistency of the cart compared to a turbo fwd car. Either way make sure you get a video of it and post it up on here. Should be a close race if you both get a good run.

I would have to say the cart. However if you can find a track that will allow shifter carts than all the better. I haven't found one most tracks use the NHRA rules for track vehicles and carts are not included in the rules
, but snowmobiles and quads are haha.
A little bit of info for you. An average 125 shifter can go around 115 mph and is around 3 sec for 0-60 times.

i would say the cart, if you've ever driven a 125 shifter cart, you would probably say the same lol i have never driven a car that does 6's in teh 1/8 so im not sure how fast that is...
Man I was at the 1/8 mile track a couple weeks back and they had a few guys on 4 wheelers running, one guy ran a 7.0 and I do believe the other was a 6.8-6.90! Then they raced again the guy in the left lane launched and veered right real hard almost hit the concrete barrier lol

& theirs no problem with getting the cart on the track, its all about who u know.
p.s. don't worry joel, i got this!! also the car will be running tomorrow morning. got a few little wires left them put all the lube back in. im am a little worried about the compression. it was at 195 before the motor got re-surfaced. but figure just take out 2 more degrees & it should hold up, lol. u know how we do it
