Default Dual exhausts on my civic

for all you flamers, put your torches away. I'm talking about the electonically controlled valve that attaches to the stock exhaust for that open pipe effect. I have googled and searched here but didnt know the right key words. How have you mount this? Logic tells me it has to mount between the header and the cat...but there's no space. Or do you get rid of the cat and place it there? For those that have it, is the valve leak proof? I dont want my exhaust to sound like its got an exhaust leak when I dont have it in open pipe mode.

It's called an electronic cutout. Yes they are out there, you can get them from Summit for a decent price.

May I inquire as to the point of this electronic cutout?

just make sure when you install this thing to make a sort of shield or something to direct the exhaust out from under the car.

I didn't and now the entire passenger side underbody is covered in soot. lol
