Default Installing new remote on current alarm system.

Here is my scenario.
When i purchased my integra it already had a alrm in it. A clifford alram to be exact. But the ownder did not have the remote.

i took it over to the local tint and alarm specialist. and they told me that they can set me up with new remote for the price of the new remote cost ($30-$45) that far i understand.
but then they add on the service charge of tearing my dash apart to get to the brains of the alarm.

what all is need it to order a new remote do i just need to find the brains and get the serial?
cause if thats all then heck i'll tear my own dash apart. Then who would i order the remote from?

thanks
cassio

oh i was doing the hood cable relocation today and decided to look for the brain...no luck.
guess its going to require a little more tear down.
i guess i can always just trace the LED light or the valet button..

There are several models of Clifford alarms. You first need to find the exact model number then you can get the correct remote.

Programming instructions are usually printed on the remote's packaging.

so all i need is to find the brain (where ever it is) and get the model number.
now you say that the new remote will have instructions. ( where can i order the remote from)

The model # of the alarm has to be known so that you will know what remote you need to buy. Then you can get the remote from a local shop.

What other input do you want?

There is no reason to take it to an alarm shop, but you need to do some legwork to get the model number.
