Default Civic EX 19mm Sway Bars

I've been looking at rear sway bars for my 06 EX and can't find what I want.
I think 22mm is too big and too stiff for everyday driving that Neuspeed sells and my understanding is that the 17mm rear sway bars on the Si won't fit on a regular EX..

So, my Uncle owns a a machine shop. He said he could take my existing rear sway bar (as a template)and make me a 19mm one to fit my car using spring steel and would work fine.. Says I could use the same clamps but go to a different size bushing. He's a smart guy but was wondering what you guys think of the idea..??

Thanks

I've seen EX users put Si sways on their cars if i'm not mistaken.

Where did you hear otherwise?

i've seen that too!!!

also, to the OP, if you can fit a 22mm sway bar from neuspeed, what makes you think that the OEM Si sway bar will fit any differently?? think about it??

FG1 and FG2 are pretty much the same across the board (chasis wise) aside from the obvious

all coupes share the same sway bar design... thats why progress only has one coupe sway bar. They just mount differently but they are still the same... im 99.9% sure. They just mail the same bar with different instructions haha. I got mine with regular coupe instructions and was pissed but it mounted right up, feels great.

A guy at College Park Honda had told me the Si bar would not fit on the EX as they were different - I figured he knew what he was talking about..

Is there anyone here who has actually replaced the whimpy EX bar with an Si rear bar? If so, did you upgrade the front as well..?

Thanks all
