Default Need to change up the Rotas - need some help

I have some flat black slipstreams and I wanted to make them a little different than the other million people that have them. I always wanted a red or polished lip on black wheels (but never could find any). I was thinking about sanding the lip and polishing it or painting it red. I wouldnt do this normally to wheels, but the rotas arent even powder coated, I guess it's just some sort of spraypaint. I noticed this when I popped the centercaps off of them and the paint scraped off so easily. So has anyone done this? I'm figuring if I "f" it up, I can always just paint the wheels all black again.

btw I did a search

I vouch for the Krylon Ultra flat black...really good paint for what you pay for

thanks for the info guys, I think I'll try a red then (my car is red). I love the red lip on black wheels. I thought polished would be a little over the edge as far as work anyway. You think I could do this with the wheels on the car still (provided masking is done well)?
