Here's how it currently looks (since Jan 2000 - when the first S2000's where basically available)






You get the idea (btw, I have the smoked amber vision corners on now... way better looking). But since I'm getting another free paint job (nice to have hookups here & there ), I'm probably going to repaint it a bit darker... maybe Chevy Tahoe grey or Viper silver.... or possibly the new VW bug silver or Z3 silver.... dunno really.

S2000 paint on a EG hatch looks very nice, but a little played out IMO. I really can't do a flat Audi TT charcoal since my interior is painted S2000 silver (too sparkly, plus don't want to look like Katman ), but a darker silver would look nice... and get my wheels painted gunmetal (to the guy who asked what paint code is for the gunny Regamasters.... I know it ).

Bottom line... any suggestions on a darker silver color from another line of automobiles?

 

how about the mustang gray color, forgot what its called. or the new M3 gray.

 

paint it championship white, it would look really nice with your wheels and corners...

 

Leave/paint your lip black. IMO

 

The mustang color is more bronze looking... not silver, but that was a thought.

The car used to be white... it's entirely repainted silver. I'm not going back to white or to any other color than silver for this car.

I painted the stock lip because it looks cleaner like this. BTW, I have a Spoon CF lip but not CF hood yet (too lazy... but it looks clean as is so I may sell the CF lip and leave the car silver with the duckbill wing.... we'll see)

Paint it the gray color that comes on 94-95 Integras. It is a nice shade of grey.

 

grey that noone else really has is ok! PGM fo life.


go with viper silver....nuff said.

 

i really like the infinity titanium color on the i 30
the greyish silver is hella bling bling it like changes shades with the light reflecting off of it
if i was paintin my car any other color that would be it

 

Paint it the greyish silver from the newer corvettes.

hey where do you live , i need one of those free i know people paint jobs hella bad oh i guess a nice color to paint it would be the blueish light green color that came on some of the 6th gen sedan, i dont know the name, the topic came up this week, aren't run on sentences great

 

Heh.... yeah, I know a few people who ARE (or have already) driven all the way up here to have their car painted. The guys I go to do show-quality work (since they paint a lot of show cars) but will also do a full color change with good PPG paint pretty damn cheap.... well, about a quarter of the price of what some LA shops are quoting

As for quality... well, I have 2 cars from there.... a couple of people on this board are currently getting their cars painted by the same guys right now... I'll have picts of them in a week or so (they're also doing FULL color changes at a good price).


Back to the topic.... I don't want a lighter silver than what I already have. I want either the same or darker (probably a bit darker).

 

how much do these guys charge for a complete color change?

i really like the grey color from the new vw beetles. I dont know what color that is.
Does any know what color that is?
