02 accord w/791xv..anyone ever use 1100f for imobilzer bypass?
directechs:
2002 Honda Accord
Category: Immobilizer Bypass
Required: Yes
Type: Transponder
Part#: 1100F
Notes: When using the 1100F or 1100X, a software change to 1100HA is needed.
Alternates: 1100X, 556HW, 556UW, DesignTech 20402, DesignTech 29402
we carry the 1100f at work but it is labeled as a ford bypass..does anyone have experience with the 1100f?

ok i did more researche and wiring looks pretty straight forward..the only part i dont understand is it directechs states that the
"1100f needs to be updated to an 1100ha using the directlink updater tool"
are they referring to the hand held bitwriter?

I not sure, I have like 40- 556h. I allways use that with no problems. I will look into it for you.
heres what i came up with today..
1100f is originally programmed for ford vehicles but can be updated for many other makes an models by downloading updates from directechs and uploading to the 1100f via directechs p/n 1000w usb connection.
i guess they did this to cut down on having to stock so many immobilizer bypasses. i thought it was pretty cool esp since they offer the programs free once you buy the usb connection..i just don't know how to purchase it
i've used the 556h a few times aswell with mostly good results, i figured since we have an abundance of 1100f's it would be a good idea to give them a try
