Default a lil info/advice needed on an lsvtec

i recently purchased an lsvtec motor. it has a b18a1 block and gsr(p72) head. I do have pr3(usdm b16) pistons. so far the genious i purchased this from overtighten the timing belt causing the cam on the exhaust side to grind into the journal directly between the cam gears and the #1 cylinder. So now the head is junk.

I am getting a new head soon and going with cams, valvetrain, gears, and intake mani. from calculating i had shown without milling somewhere in the realm of 11.588:1 compression ratio (on the old setup). i am going to get back to that or try for 12:1. i am looking into skunk2 pro 1 or 2 cams, skunk2 cam gears and possible their valvetrain. i am uncertain though on the valvetrain and intake mani? any advice here.

im new to the lsvtec ive been an h22 guy for a while and still have my prelude, but picked up an eg6 hatch for a fun project, daily driver/ drag car.

also any ideas on a safe redline? being that the previous owner didnt even tighten the timing belt right i am going to guess he also didnt change the bearings after adding the pr3 pistons. i wont be rebuilding til winter.

any info would be much appreciated. so thanks in advance

Is this stock B18A rods and rodbolts? If it were ME personally, i wouldn't go past stock B18A redline, but that would be a different story with a balanced bottom end and stronger rod bolts. First thing you should be thinking about is a tune though

i actually picked up a b16 head. im going to have it milled down to between 11.5:1 and 12:1 cr. im putting cams, gears, valves, valve springs, retainers, and a port and polish on the head. followed by a tune on a hondata s300. im prolly going with skunk2 pro2 cams, supertech valves, custom valve springs and retainers by the local shop, and prolly skunk2 cam gears. any advice or opinions on parts would help.
also i do have arp head studs and a cometic head gasket. so that part should be taken care of. but i definately wont be running it past 7k rpms until i can check into the block and add arp rod bolts and acl bearings.
