Default Performance Cams

i was thinking about droppin in an h22 and eventually changing out the stock cams for performance cams. i have seen it done, on an h22, and seen great results but my question is whether there would be any other changes to the motor with the performance cams?

timing. You would probably want to get a set of adjustable cam gears, given the amount of lift your looking to get from your cams.

You have to keep in mind that advance and retard are key factors when upgrading the cams. And, if not properly tuned you'll be sitting in a hole, trying to figure out why your motor is idling rough, or your valves are bent.

you should looking into upgrading your ecu/air-fuel ratio. whether chipped or piggy back or stand alone to get better tuning. also depending on the aggression of the cams you get, you might have upgrade the retainers and the springs.
