water in engine?
my car stalled after driving through some areas with particularly high water levels during a heavy rain.
my battery and oil lights came on and the car wouldn't start. after 20 minutes or so, the car started again and i've been able to drive it fine. however, there is a weird buzzing/clicking when i hit the gas.
what do you think is wrong? do you think the problem will go away once the water evaporates?

your engine is pretty much done for. it's probably best you stop driving your car until you can get it checked out, so you don't cause any more damage. you've probably bent a rod.
I agree with what the others have said. Water does not compress like air does and that wreaks all kids of havoc on the motor when it happens. Without hearing the "clicking" it is hard to diagnose it.
you should be able to drive it fine for now if its still running. by now if you did get water in your engine it has "burnt" off. get an old change, pull the plugs, check them out.. run a compression test and see what you find.
Good luck
