clutch ?...eeek!!
98 ITR 107,000 miles on the car..
The past few months i've been taking my car to the drag strip.I did drove it hard this last few months with rev-matching etc.Well, today, the car slip out of gear twice. When stopped at a red lights, taking off from first gear, the car seems to laaaagggg like ****.Its like the car is pulling some assss. The shifting seems different. Its not smooth as it used to be.Clutch got harder and shifting almost similar to the 350z...Currently, i thinked its my stock clutch, but if anyone can helps with this problem, i thank you..

If the clutch slips - meaning, it feels like the engine revs are disconnected from the road speed when you're shifting into and out of gear - then it usually means that the clutch material is worn out and you need to replace the clutch.
If this is the original clutch on the car, that's not a bad lifespan; it was probably pretty worn even before you took it to the dragstrip. Oh, and rev matching is good; it's when you DON'T rev match (like dumping it at the strip) that the clutch gets the most wear.
Lagging I take to mean the clutch is slipping. ITR stock clutches are known for breaking disc springs, particularly after launching abuse. Either way, time for a new clutch. Spend some time reading the archives. Lots of good pro and con info about different clutches, based on driving habits, ITR build, etc. Good luck!
