Default ALL YOU 9SEC GUYS OUT THERE!! IS MY TURBO BIG ENOUGH

I was just wondering What all you 9 sec guys are using for turbo's becieds the 42r.
my project is about to be done and my goal is 9 sec but i think my turbo is just a little to small but im pretty sure it could do it just pushing the **** out of it what do you guys think?
PT67
TO47 Compressor cover
.81 AR with P trim

t4- vband
part # 400-1550 6776S Boosted 4" Inlet / 2.5" Outlet

I do not really want to do a 42r. I was thinkin maybe that ITS 71 BB with the Q trim. And all turbo no NOS!!!!!!!

Just a little imput from the experienced racers out there and still streetabel cars.

thanks.

I went 10.1@144mph in high altitude(denver) on a west coast track. I was only able to make 25psi in denver. Could I have run a 9? Possibly but coulda, woulda shoulda....Either way I didnt but Innes did..

All the 9 second cars out there RANGE in turbos and sizes. They go from a GT4067 non ball bearing that John Ferguson runs on his car 9.60s, Matt Keller's Old red Integra had teh same turbo 9.60s, CFT Is running a Borg Warner S370 and switching to a S372 I think 9.8s or 9.7s, Tyler Hara 9.9s GT4088R, Brian Ballard old CRX T4/T67 9.80s, Jason Hunts old CRX 9.53 Turbonetics T61, Jason Hunt's old Coupe 9.60s ITS T72 BB(I think) and Turbonetics T70/T72 BB , Andrea Koury 9.9 with teh Turbonetics GTK-850 BUT switched to a GT42R I think, Someone out there deeper in 9's with a Turbonetics non GTK turbo . Soo many different set ups and combinations and options available . The GT42R just works soo damn well

I ran 9.72 @ 152 on that turbo - or very similiar to it, so the answer is yes, but there is alot more to it than just a turbo to run 9s.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the mis information starting coming out.

All it takes is a 42r to go 9's, the details are just that, details, they don't really matter..

You can hit 9's with your turbo.

Street car? Weight of your car, just curious? .58 A/R seems like it would really restrict the turbine on that turbo alot

thanks man, im just really wanting somthing ball bearing i think or maybe not. I just want to be competitive in the 9sec classes out there. And not really wanting to get a 42r because i waited forever on my manifold and would hate to have to send it out becuse of a split housing and the wase gate etc...

If it was you what would you do?

He's asking about running 9's at the track, not what is useable on the street.
