is time to do emission this year. i dont know if im going to pass.
the car is a 2000 si with a built(cams,310cc injectors, high comp pistons ect..) gsr and obd1 ecu.
i can put the oem header and catalytic convertor and the p2t ecu. the motor have the b16a2 head and hardness, crank sensor and knock sensor.
my question, how do you guys pass emission. because i hate to do all this **** and dont pass.
i would rather pay someone to do it under the table.

just put your stock headers and cat and ecu in, you'll pass, unless your **** is too loud or idels too low or smokes.

 

 

as long as all your sensors work then you should be okay. you obviously need to test with the obd2 ecu though. no cels = pass

 

I have a B18C1 swap in a 2000 SI and I had a JDM ITR ECU. I swapped in a stock P2t and it passed, however, the P2T will have a CEL light go on after about 30 miles (the break in period) so I would plug it in and get it there before the CEL light comes on. However, this could be just from my experience.

 

ya, when i had my prelude (never checked what the code was) but it always turned on after 30miles or so. just plugged it in to temporarily get rid of the cel and i passed as well
