Road Trip Pics..............
I just recently returned to San Diego from the NOPI show in Denver. I was also there to visit my relatives in the area. I took 1st place in the Honda street class. On the way back I took the scenic route via I-70 to Green River Utah, south to Lake Powell Utah, northern Arizona to the Grand Canyon, I-40 west to Barstow California, then I-15 to San Diego. This has ranked first of my many road trips.
My point is that built Hondas are not just for racing, show, or urban operation. They are also great for seeing this great land. The southwest is magnificent. The vast expanse of empty roads also enabled me to push the speedo WELL past 120 MPH in some spots.
Enjoy...............

Southbound SH 261 Utah. This road was MOSTLY 65MPH till you come to the part where road slows to 15 MPH to descend down a 2,000 foot drop to the desert floor via an 8% grade gravel road with sharp 5 MPH switchbacks. Then the road continues at 65 MPH.

Much appreciated.
Let me digress about something for a moment. There is a functional purpose for the 205/40/17 tires. Years ago, I discovered with the original 185/60/14 size that the speedo was registering 10% faster than actual speed AND odometer readings from a rolling dyno check at a speedo calibration shop. The culprit is the speed sensor gear DESIGN in the tranny. All EG/EK, and DC manual tranny cars have the same problem.
Switching to my larger diameter tire size solved the problem and my speedo and odometer readings are PERFECT!!!

Actually they don't. I would know since I've been into Hondas for the past 8-9 years and competing in shows for the past year in SoCal. Also, the judge was a NOPI judge who has been doing this for a while. It's not just a California thing.
