The speedometer on my car recently stopped working, and since then the CEL light has been coming on after about 1/2 hour of driving. Could these two issues be related? If so, how can I read the check engine code without special equipment. I read on here that you can check the CEL code on 1993 hondas with a built in feature??? Does anybody know anything about that? Any help would be much appreciated, as the shop I went to today was askin $99 to plug their computer into my car...ouch!!!
