How to wire up foglights on 96 accord using relays?
I have the factory fog button that goes next to the hazard button. I want to use it to run power to my fogs. Im sure that I have to put a relay in the line im just not sure of what kind and how to?
My guess would be a DPST relay? I think that's correct
Double Pole Single Throw?
god I haven't played with relays in forever, if you don't already have the fog lights on your bumper, why not just buy a $40 OEM style one from ebay, and have everything included (wire harness, fogs, relays, etc)

that sounds more like a household light switch... lol
your relay uses small current to control big current. from what i remember, there should be 4 or 5 prongs on the bottom of the relay that match numbers imprinted on the top of it. 50 and 64 is the big current portion of the relay(could be wrong on #64. someone please correct me if thats the case.), and 86 and 87 is the small current side id run the power wire from your fog switch to #87, and 86 to ground. then connect battery voltage to #50, and wire your fog lights power to #64. then ground out the lights. now, some relays are different, thats why i said either 4 or 5 prong. the 5th prong (if ur relay has it) can either be useless, or used to power something else when the fogs are off. if u dont use it, then its more like a resting place for the switch inside the relay.
its been 2 years since ive taken a nap in electrical class @ auto school. i know i have the right idea, but i may be wrong on the numbers.
hope this helps!
