Which one 2 choose???
Ok, I am stuck between getting Skunk 2 cams or replace my third gear in my tranny and put a final drive in. The reason y i am wanting 2 replace my third gear is that it grinds sometimes when im in high RPMs in second then i shift to third but this doesnt happen all the time. But what would u do if u had 2 pick between the cams and a tranny that MIGHT need a new third gear. One of my friends r telling me that they have the same problem in third and fourth and its been like that for years, please tell me what u would do if in this situation.......TIA
The problem with your tranny might not be the gear, but the sychrone(spelling). I'm guessing you have a GSR transmission? If you do then I'd find out the problem with your tranny, fit it, then get a JDM final drive.
do the tranny 1st. power dont matter unless you can get it to the ground efficiently.
so im assuming we were correct in telling you changing the trans fluid wouldnt fix the problem then ?
im still betting its a syncro man , im telling you from experience, alot of people with b series trans have this prob. i think its more the vtec ones than the ls's though
