What you're dropped on and what size GT3s would help.

205-50-16 is pretty popular. with your drop you could probably fit a little more tire under there is you wanted.

Hey I know this is not for this topic, but I do notice you have a lifted hood near your windshield. Where do you get the screws, etc. to raise it?

Please tell me you're joking. TrueValue, Ace, Home Depot... you know, hardware stores? They carry the bolts, washers, and spacers you need to "vent" your hood.

yeah exactly. I don't know the bolts and nuts to get. I only know you need something to raise the height of the hood.

I definately know those stores cuz I've shopped there before.

apologize for the wrong question.

BTW does anyone have a post how to install the parts that raise the hood?

You can take a bolt out of the hood at the hardware store and take it in to the store with you. That's what I did, way back when. I think they're 10mm bolts, but I could be wrong. Just make sure to get one that's as long as the OEM one + the thickness of the spacers you're using.

oh swt man. that makes total sense. Three final questions.

is lining up the hood a pain in the ****?

is this workable with a stock hood rather than a carbon fiber hood?

is there a DIY how to do this?

What size spacers would you guys suggest? i don't wanna go too big or too small.

When I did mine, I did one side of the hood at a time. It made aligning the hood negligible.

I've seen it done with CF hoods, and there shouldn't be any issues there. (You may want a rubber washer on the hood side, for vibrations sake.)

I would say, at most, go an inch for the hood gap.

I'm gonna asume i'm not going for a 1 in washer. i don't know the size i would go for i would probably be shooting with my eyes close. I get the rubber washer so I'd have two washers. I haven't looked at the stock hood setup but does the stock setup have rubber washers.

IDK much about this part.

Stock, theres no washers. You'll probably want a 1" collar or sleeve, that threads onto the bolt. I'd say shoot for 1/2" to 3/4", though.

let me see if i got this right then.

1/2" with a rubber washer with a bolt as long as the stock + the length of the rubber washer and the sleeve?

Why would I need a rubber washer to dampen the vibration if the stock doesn't have one (and doesn't vibrate)? It wouldn't virbate then? Or i'm guessing you tried it and it vibrated? (not tight enough)

out to lunch brb.

I just get extra cautious when using hardware with CF, especially when you focus a ton of pressure on a small area. CF is a great material, but can be difficult when using metal with it.

Hey toyo. how much did you raise your hood? I raised it 3/4" and that's really hella high. you can see it hugely.

i would suggest 1/2" or less for anyone.
