Default i have a question

on my crx hf could i keep the block and switch the head to a vtec head and if it will work would it increase my hp and torque

swap head out , remove oil pressure between block and head. this is called a mini me swap. yes you will have some hp gain from stock

although you will still have an engine with tiny little rod and main journals on the crankshaft and valve reliefs for only 8 valves, not 16 - with the small crankshaft, don't expect it to last very long if you run it up beyond around 5500 rpm

Very true. OP, you may be able to score a D15B2 block for cheap, then use that as your starting base for the mini me.
