which exhaust manifold to use on z6?

this is on a 90 dx. is there a performance difference between the dx's 4-1 header and the d16z6's 4-2-1 header? i'd think the 4-2-1 is better for the engine, but i keep hearing that the 4-1 configuration is better.

In my opinion it is just best to use the manifold that was designed for that particular motor......I have a z6 on my '91 dx and currently using the z6 exhaust manifold.
