Default best rear view camera

i'm not looking to get rid of my side mirrors. i actually like having those. i just want the ability to glance down and see what's behind me without moving my head and elbows. when i turn i always take either hand off and look back anyway. i've been looking at the plethora of rear view cameras online and i just don't know which to go with. can anyone recommend anything? thanks

Wow, thats quite an extreme solution to not learning how to adjust your mirrors properly. Even the worst of bikes I've been able to get at least 1 mirror to see behind me. What kind of bike do you have?

There was a thread where someone posted a link where you can mount mirrors to your helmet. Too lazy to search for you right now. Good luck

if u can tell me how to adjust my mirror so that i can have a center line of sight directly behind me without having to move my elbows/hands that'd be great. i don't know how u do it.

i've considered the buy eye mirrors, but i think it would be too much distraction. don't need to mention how retarded it looks either. thanks anyway

I once saw that one helmet that has the rear view mirror into the hlemet... it looks nice but I'm not really sure what the price is...

reevu

i've read it doesn't work too well for the agressive riding positions of purpose built sportbikes. most of the time u see a reflection of the sky unless u are stopped at a light. i don't even think they were marketed at all

how do you suppose it's safer and easier? It's lazier and more retarded. Plus all you're doing is ignoring the way EVERYONE else manages to safely ride and are just adding an additional distraction for yourself.

oh i see what your're saying. then wouldn't the rear view mirror in a car pose a distraction as well? what's the difference besides how is it implemented?

i'm not lazy by any means when i ride or drive. i'm constantly checking the danger to me in all directions. turning my head everytime i change lanes. but i want to have that added line of sight with a rear view. yes i do ride a sportbike purpose built for the track. so it's no surprise it lacks some of the things that make driving a car safer and easier on the street. doesn't mean i have to manage without a rear view. right?

observations:

1. Alaska is big
2. Not as many cars there as LA/NYC/just about most places
3. perhaps attention is better focused forward so you dont hit deer/caribou/antelope/king salmon migrating to spawn ?

I would imagine that the glare during the day and the headlights at night would render the lcd useless; however, I think it would be a fun project. So bump for you and be sure to post many pictures.

i see that you have a 05 ninja zx6r. just use the 04-05 suzuki gsxr mirrors, that's what i did with mine. make sure you take the base of the gsxr mirrors off and put them on to your stock mirror base.
the gsxr mirrors are about 2-3 inches longer then the zx6r mirrors.
