Default Strange thoughts on "water injection" and detonation

The other day it was humid as **** here in NJ and I came to thinking...." I wonder if exteme humidity in the air can serve as a detonation deterent similar to water injection". Now, I know the percent of water in an the injection from an Aquamist system has got to be a hell of a lot more than any humid day, but still, do you think that those sticky *** days would have a high enough percentage of water in them to ward off some detonation??

Unfortunatley, humid usually means hot. Hot and humid is great when you are with your woman, but sucks if you are compressing air.

No. As the water from a water injection system becomes vaporized in the intake tract, it absorbs alot of thermal energy...thus lowering intake temps. Humidity is already vaporized water, and it won't help cool anything down.
