oxygen sensor replacement inspection
I tried searching but couldnt find much because u cant search "o2"
Anyways, my friend has a 96 ex coupe and it failed nys emissions. Claimed the o2 was bad. I installed a new bosch o2 sensor for her ( the o2 on mani) and her code went away.
Question: Does the car have to be running or driving for a certain lenght of time for the ecu to "register" the o2 again before she can have it inspected tomorrow?

i let the car idle for about 5 minutes and nothing popped up... is it too early to celebrate ?
I thought i read somewhere you have to drive the car 50 miles...but idk if thats accurate

The readiness monitors needs to be reset. I just did mine. I drove about 15 miles before having emissions inspected immediately after. The cars ecu must have a history of the car running correctly in order for it pass inspections, thats what the readiness monitors are for.
what are the readiness monitors?
I just disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes, and only planned on driving it about 10 miles or so and prayin no cel pops back up
