What is the best 60' you have ever seen on a FWD Honda with BFG drag radials?
I'm asking because on a local forum we have a guy who went cut a 1.79 60' on BFG drag radials. He has the slip but I think it was a fluke with the timing.
I have never seen any car cut a 1.7 60' with BFG's.
Can it be done?

LOL omg here we go again...seems this has been the talk of the whole god damn internet the last couple days.
here are the slips from saturday night, the 1.797 run was the last one on the right...dont mind the times or traps on most of them because he was running a 12.5 index and had to stay above that to stay in the class. the 1.797 was in the finals. i tuned the car, and helped him set it up...i fully believe what is on the slip...our track is very well known for being accurate. was this a one time deal...probably...but it did happen.

here is the video as well, the run in question is the very last one....he deff. hooks and goes like a ****.

had a full weight 00 type r with a turbo gsr motor on 225/50/15's and cut two 1.7's i think 1.78 and 1.79 will see if i can find the slips. that was with 10psi in them before the burnout.
I have cut 1 1.79 sixty foot time, against jim hucks, back when he was the fastest, my car weighed around 2350 lbs or so, ended up only running 12.30 that pass (would not go into second gear to save my life,) car left like it was on slicks/i knew it was goin to be a good pass, and i screwed it all up, before that pass i had went 11.57 with 2.0 60s, that was a easy 11.30s pass, o well
but it can be done, with good conditions, ill look up my pic and try to post

Why would he lie (.CUBISH.)?
Get over it... some people know how to drive and have power under the hood.
I plan to touch 1.6's on street tires in my Civic. Impossible, right?
235/60/R15, btw.

Look at the rest of the slip, the 330, 1/8th, etc. The slip is correct

^^ thank you thats EXACTLY what i have been saying all along. the slip reads perfectly with the 1.797 i even posted slips of very similiar times and his numbers mirror'd mine all the way down the slip.

I know the slip is correct, I looked at that. I was just thinking that it was off.
Precise not accurate
Clearly other people have done it so im not arguing.

the best i've ever had was 1.99. it felt great, but never happened again, lol.
i tried playing around with tire pressures and stuff, but it seems the track doesn't like my car, cause i've been having 2.2ish since then.
but i can believe 1.7s. some cars just like to hook more than others.

LOL. potato canon.
1.8's and 1.9's all day with BFG's. ran them at around 18psi, used them when I was n/a, launched at around 5500rpm (no dump, but hard in)

How are those of you who are cutting such low 60's doing it? Are you guys preloading the car and boosting off the line like you would slicks?
yea everything on zex_cool's run was just the same as if he was on slicks. big 2nd gear burnout, (well as big as you can get with a weak ebrake and one wheel peel lol) preload, and on the 2 step building boost....
Alot of clutch slipping. People that races AWD's knows it well because it minimizes stress on the drivetrain and produces decent 60's. The best I muttered was a 1.94 with a little bit of a bog. 210-220whp, 225's and 10psi.

I busted out a 1.84 60' on my bigger M&H 235/60/15's. That was my 4th pass ever on those tires. I think some 1.70's with the BFGs are possible but might be hard to do consistantly. I doubt that I could do it
