1999 Accord no spark
My 99 accord won't start. I cant get a spark. I recently replaced the distributer which was brand new. When i turn the key to the on position the check engine light goes off and whatever light next to it goes off as well (i forget the light). Most other lights stay on, all the door lights, the trunk light everything but the abs light i think. Not sure if that info helps but thats all i know at this point.
Does it have an external coil or internal? Did you physically check the coil wire? How about the wire to the coil itself? Then did you check the distributor cap? Check from the point where the coil wire comes in, to where it touches the top of the rotor. Check from the place where the rotor touches the top of the distributor cap to the tip. EVen if it is brand new, check it anyway.
Hello everyone It has been a while since anyone posted on here but I am having this same exact issue however I checked everything it could be that came to mind like ICM which I replaced, Internal Coil Replaced, rotor and cap replaced, main relay replaced, spark plugs replaced. I have done all of this and nothing changed I haven't found any bad fuses either. the only lights that show on start up are all doors open, and CEL the CEL is for bad IACV. My fear is that when my ground for the PCM engine harness came loose from the driver side plenum it cooked the PCM. Please help need my car back up so I can work.
