Is it safe.......
Is it safe to use a Competition Clutch Stage 4 clutch on a stock GSR motor and LSD trans? I know it is not a lot of hp but it would only be for a couple months before it gets boosted.
it'll be plenty safe, you can't really have TOO much clutch, it's more about driveability.
You'll be fine.
BTW, how much boost are you running? Whp?

Sounds like its going to be a harsh clutch engagment, lol. Im not sure if you've ever felt stage 2 or even 3, but the clutch will feel very stiff when you push the pedal down. It will be fine, and the calves on your left leg will be bigger by the time you get the turbo.
Stage 4 might be a little excessive.
Get something that's slightly higher than your wtq goals.
I'm not sure, but I bet that clutch is for 500-600 whp judging solely on the fact that it's a "stage 4"
Many companies rate their clutches differently.

i kidd you not, you will have a freakishly bigger left calf. stage 3 + are hard to push in ( imo) Friend has a stage 3 act on his wrx STI, i gave that thing a test drive, i had to actually put forth extra effort to push the clutch in.

Why is it harder to push? I thought it's the actuall pressure plate you're actually moving? Just learning still that's all. From what I've heard, a stage 3 is pretty much "you're either engaged or not.. there's no in-between"

Splines for the pressure plate are tougher. I have never personally driven a civic/integra with one over stage 2, but ive felt before and after for an STI, stock to stage 3 ACT clutch, and it definatly made it much harder to press in, as i had state before.
Even when i swapped out my own OEM clutch for exedy stage one, the clutch pedal instantly felt a little harder to depress than it had with the OE components.

What's the stock Flywheel torque and the wheel torque goal (roughly) for your setup?
As long as it's not more than 250% like the description says you should be fine.
