Default Auto STD hub spline count....

The car is a 1990 Civic STD auto. It came with a D15B2. Doing auto to manual swap. I know on manual STD's the hubs have a different spline count then Si/DX. I also know the manual STD comes with a D15B1. I also know the auto axles from a DX with a D15b2 will work for the manual swap. What i dont know is how many splines Auto STD hubs/axles have.

Does anyone know?

Dan

From my saved files

The Si, DX, and LX all use the 26 spline outer joint. The HF and STD use the 23 spline outer joint.

Hmm must be a weight reduction thing. thanks

car was $500, mint motor, no smoke, perfect 170 compression across, no rust MINT shell from soft climate. id be an idiot not to convert it.

so for anyone who does a manual swap on an Auto STD hatch with a D15B2, rest assured that your axles/hubs have 26 splines, so dont worry about replacing them and enjoy your new manual!

I believe the STD model never came with a slushbox.

To get a slushbox you had to buy a DX, hence why you have the larger DX/Si axles

D15B2 = DX.

Seeing you a Canuck, (no offense) Honda of Canada changed the model designations.
