Default H23 to H22 swap in 4th gen. need help please

i have a 92 prelude si. originally came with an H23 non vtec motor. i dropped in a jdm h22 from hmotorsonline.com
the problem im having:
the jdm header doesnt bolt up to the cars exhaust piping. this is what im talking about...
on the jdm headers after the flex pipe theres a 3 bolt flange, its supposed to bolt up to the exhaust piping right before the cat. the problem is the jdm h22 headers 3 bolt flange is bigger than the 3 bolt flange on the cars exhaust piping.
anybody drop a jdm h22 into a 92 prelude? i need help with this.
thanks

You need to use an H22 downpipe.

I just drilled out the holes on the downpipe to match my cat. It will be fine until I get a good header.

Yupp.... I ran into the exact same problem.. I ended up having to trade some **** for a DC sports header and downpipe.... I have a high flow cat and custom 2.5" piping afterwards... It was much cheaper to make my own exhaust for now than to buy an expensive *** cat-back system that would've done the same thing..

H23 downpipe on left... H22 downpipe on right

Gotta say, I only got the top manifold with my H22, so I bought a cheap ebay header, and it bolts right up to either my H23 cat or H22 test pipe. Cost me like 115 shipped for header and test pipe! Only real plus is it looks way better than a stock manifold, but not sure how the flow is or if it makes a single hp difference lol.

i sent jdmh22luda an IM. i bought some dc headers for an h22. all the flanges match up perfect but it seems that the dc headers are shorter than the oem ones. only cuz the oem ones get the flex pipe and the dc headers dont.
does anyone know if the dc headers will match up or will i need a test pipe?
