Default 225/40/18

Just recently I tried selling my 17 inch konig trouble wheels to my friend who has an s2000. there 215/45/17's. They fit his car fine, but since I do not have stock wheels and tires I needed to borrow his stock s2000 wheels untill I order my new wheels. His tire size on his s2000 wheels are 225/55/16. They fit fine in the front but do not fit on the rear of my 2004 acura rsx type s. The rub on the inside so I went and picked up some wheel spacers. The only size I could that would allow my lug nuts to still fit on was 8mm spacers, and they didn't help, it still rubs. If i go any larger on wheel spacer sizes, it will then rub on the outside against my quarterpanel. I tried doing a 1inch spacer but it will sit right on the rear quarterpanel. My question is, the wheels I'm getting are 225/45/18's. Will this cause the same issue as the s2000 wheels? Will it rub against the control arm and strut? What can I do to get these wheels to fit because It says that these wheels fit 04 rsxs. Thanks for any input
