Neuspeed race srpings help
Alright, just got my new neuspeed race springs this morning, but before I put em on i need to know 2 things.
The part of the spring thats coiled close together. Should they be installed facing the ground or the sky?
How much should I trim the bumpstops? In half? all 4 corners of the car?
thanks

The part where the coils are close should be up at the top just like your stock springs (at least on an Si the stock springs should be like that).
The bumpstop trimming is actually a confusing issue because everyone has different answers. I went half on mine. Some people say don't do it at all, but then you sometimes bump them in hard turns.
The real question you need to be asking is how to get the bolt out of the LCA! If yours come right out I'll be shocked. I'll bet anything that you'll be spending most of the time trying to get that bolt out (unless its been out recently). Here is a tip... just because it turns, it doesn't mean it will be coming out. The sleve going through the bushing usually just breaks loose and turns too. Get some PB blaster and start soaking them now.
One last tip. Don't use Neuspeed race springs with stock shocks. I literally drove through Akron on 76 and blew my rear shocks out driving through there once. One time on that crappy cement highway is all it took. You need to get something like Tokico Blues at the very least if you haven't already.
Good luck!

heh, thanks. I've had the struts out before, and i know what your talking about. The bushing in the LCA is shot and i cant get it out.
and I am running stock shocks
, but I gotta put these springs on now. I cant stand my shitty aerospeed coilovers any longer. Try driving around Akron with those! I think i may have back problems when i'm older because of this ..lol

Well i've got them on. Feels great, way better then those coilovers. Now to save for some better shocks.
good shocks are pretty expensive
I'm 17 making $6.10/hr and this is tuff. SO much stuff i need and so little money.
Anyone have any good used ones for sale?
Whats everyone else do on the side to help support their ride? I'd like to buy and part out cars, but there is never anything around here and the yards are lame around here.
