Ebay Fogs.....Need some input...
Alright so $300 for fogs is a bit rediculous..hence my search on ebay..
I know there are several members on here that have purchased fogs off of ebay. As of right now there are many different vendors selling them. Anyone have a vendor imparticular that they trust? I'm looking for yellow fogs on my 06 2dr. I would definitely trust passwordjdm however they are out of stock..
So how have yours held up?
Thanks for any help/direction you can give..

what the expletive is your deal posting the link to the appearance/cosmetic forum; quit with the beating a dead horse pic as well. you're not helping any.
by all means all of the topics you've replied with that response have been relevant to 06+ civics.
OP: i have password jdm fogs. from my understanding they're almost identical to k2 motors ebay fogs. same bracket, fog light, wiring etc.

Yeah, I would definitely go ahead and purchase the passwordjdm's fog's but like I said they are out of stock.
It's good to know though that you guys with there set-up are pleased.
I'm pretty skeptical about k2 motors. Just doing some searching on here it seems like 50% of the people have no problems and the other 50% absolutely had the worste experience ever with them. So if there is someone on here who has purchased fogs from another vendor on ebay I would appreciate your input.
p.s. to the first guy who just posted a link, thanks alot for your help. siiiiike. I did search before I created this thread however the answers i'm looking for were not there. thanks

I just received my fog lights from a ebay vendor and installed them today. The installation went well, they look good. My fog lights come on independently from the low beams (hmmm, interesting!) The lenses felt like glass but could be plastic, not sure. The cost was about 48.00 shipped I think. Dont remember the vendor's handle (name) but Ill try and get it. Hope this helps. Oh, my car is a 07 civic coupe EX.
links? and pics of the car please

I know this topic has come up before b/c i replied on it but i couldn't find it either so here I go.
I purchased those same fogs about 9 months ago. The lights and lenses are ok but a Wiring DISASTER!!! The connectors are completely wrong and there are absolutely no directions. I had to get honda OEM foglight wiring instructions (from my friend that works at honda), and completely do the wiring myself. Needless to say, took about 5 hours total with a bunch of poking around with a test light. After the install, they look great and haven't had any problems with them since, wiring wise.
The Bulbs are Sh*t and blew in a couple weeks so I bought the MTEC Yellows off ebay and Love them. If you do go with the ebay fogs, make your life a little easier and go to a honda dealership and buy the right plug that goes from the fogs to the open ended harness in the right fender. That part is easy if you have the right connectors, but the under dash electrical with the relay given in the kit is a complete Cluster F*ck. Good Luck man, but if i could do it all again, i would have spent a few extra bucks and gone with the Password JDM fogs instead.
And the seller was a real D*ck when I complained to him and told him how horrible the product was, so don't look for help from him!

if i were to pay as high price as passwordjdm then i would just buy from dch honda they are oem dealer and sell oem stuff and the fogs are almost in that price range
I bought my fogs from Genki Tuning... (trough ebay of course) and they came with everything and I installed them myself. Truly, no complains... I've done it all for only 59 bucks plus shipping of course. So go ahead... they work just fine...
I want to retrofit some projectors into the fogs of whatever car I end up getting, so I want to see how these aftermarket fogs work out for you guys, it doesn't make much sense for me to buy 300 dollar fogs to hack up.
symauto( 10493) was the person on ebay I ordered from. The buy price was $49.49
2006 2007 HONDA CIVIC 2D 2DR JDM FOG LIGHTS FOGLIGHTS R (220123026670) was the item description on ebay. I will have to take pics later.
On the wiring harness - the harness from the fuse box to the switch, I found that in the instructions there was a white/red wire and a blue wire that is inserted into a large white plug in the fuse box. Missing was the blue wire. However, the only thing I saw it affected was the ability to turn the fogs on with just the parking lights on instead of having to have the low beams on. Everything else was perfect! The switch is in the dash as expected. And there were NO instructions. I used the college hills honda instructions and the ones on honda-tech in the DYI section. And there were no clips for running the wires from the left fog to the right, had to improvise there. Everything else was good-to-go.
I can say that the fogs look factory to me, and Im pretty picky about stuff. For this price, I couldnt really do too wrong!

heres a clue...you're wrong.
ebay foglights and passwordjdm kits were designed for the empty slot for the 06 civics. the 07 civics have the vsa located in this spot, therefore you would have to fab something up or find a different location.
the only foglights out right now for 07 civics that do not require custom modification are the oem honda fog lights....theyre switch is located on a stalk on the steering column.

This is the place for this question, yet you give the guy a link to the appearance forum.
He is actually asking questions pertaining to a FG/FA...which is what the technical section is for.
Im not picking on you nor am i trying to make you look like a jerk.

OK, let me try this again, I ordered a set of fog lights on ebay from the person in my last posting. They were for a 06/07 civic coupe. I had not one problem installing them as they came out of the box. The switch went in the blank in the dash as it should, They work! No switch on the turn signal stalk.
I used the instructions on college hills honda.com, Im telling you all they work! Yes, there was one wire missing from the harness (blue), but they work! Nothing negative about it! But Im getting silverstar bulbs for the fog lights as well as the low and high beams so they all match and everything is good! What else can I say! After I clean up the car after our Missouri torential rains this weekend, I will take pics. If you have any questions or are still confused, email me! david.shain@us.army.mil. Enough said!

Yeah they will work for your 07 in the VSA spot because you do not have it like us with the Si's. Thats what were meaning by it not fitting for us.
