Need a set of axles
Been looking all over the net and seems like the only manufacturer for performance axles is The Drive Shaft Company. I see other companies put their name on them but it is obvious that The Drive Shaft Company makes them for others. Who is using what brand axles and how much HP are you putting to the pavement?? And how much did you spend. I dont want to spend $1200. More like around $300-$400 for the set.

Thanks, anybody else out there, or you guys dont have axles on your car and just sit in your driveway and rev up your engines cause it sounds cool.....
A lot of people with a lot of horsepower use their stock axles... Once they break, they just swap them out at autozone using their lifetime warranty. After you get used to it, it only takes around 15 or so minutes to swap one out.
Theres actually a thread in the forced induction forum asking how many high hp guys use their stock axles, check it out.
the stock axles is my plan.. I dont wanna waste all that money.
But really, theres the driveshaft shop, gator, and also fidanza makes axles now, that support up to 300 hp.

15 minutes for the driver side, maybe, but how would you change out the pass. side axle that quickly, since you have to drain and then refill the transmission?

loll i dont know. Thats just what I've read other people doing. I've never been unfortunate enough to have to replace my pass side axle.

well aside for the tranny fluid part, the passenger side is actually easier, as you only need to hammer a screwdriver between the axle and diff housing to force the axle out of the diff, whereas you have to use a hammer on the inner joint of the driver side axle (nothing to pry against), and it's a royal PITA if the car is not on a lift.
