allright i have a project crx im workin on right now it has no sunroof or windsheild and today while i was workin on it i took a break to get somthin to drink so i threw the car cover over it because it said it was goona rain it was pretty cloudy out so i go in side, not even 30 seconds after it started pouring rain my car cover is supposed to be water proof so much for that when it quit raining i go outside and my ecu is damp not wet where a little water leaked passed the (waterproof) carcover so i wait a little and i start my car up and the cel flashes the cel is like dim not even all the way lit up just flashes on and off actin all crazy. could a little dampness on my ecu burn it up?

No, your ECU is not fried. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a car won't start without its ECU.

 

It can start your car but it will make it act or and run messed up.

 

thats what it does it runs like crap that has to be the problem i guess becasue it ran fine like an hour before that and i hadnt messed with anything else on the car

 

I left my ecu out in the rain for 2 days. I opened up the case on both sides and let it dry for a day. worked fine for years. I would let it dry out all the way first.
