Del Sol Stalling
hey, im a new member to this forum.... ive got a 93 honda civic del sol problem that hopefully one of you pros know how to fix... my del sol's engine has been stalling while driving. this is usually around 20-30 miles per hour and then my engine just randomly shuts off without making any noise. i noticed that sometimes my rpm meter bounces up and down from maybe around 2-3 rpm to 4 to 0 to 1 to 4 to 0 etc. ive taken the car to a shop but they couldnt find anything wrong, however, i dont see how they could not. this happens quite frequently. i got the car used this year and the previous owner says it may have something to do with a cpu chip inside the car as he has had a problem with the car before and got it replaced. my friends says it has something to do with the gears and it changing.
Is your MIL lit, are there any codes, what have you done to the vehicle recently that caused it to start, or what can you last remember doing before it started doing that, your question is rather vague, and if you want any kind of response, I suggest you take the time to post your problem in detail, the more the better.
I'm having the same problem. The tach will just start going crazy and eventually stall. If I let the car sit over night it will be fine for awhile. It will even run flawlessly for months at a time until it starts acting up again.
