Throttle body tension adjustment, is it possible???
Has anyone put a tighter spring in their throttle body, or found any way to make the throttle open and close at a faster rate? Thanks!
If it is a B series TB you can set the perch at a position higher than stock. Hard to explain but the bottom part of the spring perch can be basically tightened and set closer to the top perch. It is a little tricky getting the pulley back on with a tighter spring but it is possible to do. I was wondering the same thing about a tighter spring (can you get one, etc) but this method works, too.
It did for me, throttle is much snappier. Hopefully the spring holds up to the extra tension. No problems for about a year.
