What is better for racing an regular cold intake or a short ram???? and which brand would be good?

Do you mean which is best for power? The short ram will give you the most response but only minimal. I'm a firm believer in parts + tune.

buy an injen CAI... unless you live in n area with a lot of puddles... then get a short ram of some sort.. if ya race on the street thats what you want.. if you race on a track thats what you want, if you race on a strip, prolly still considerably what you want.....

guys you know why i just went ahead an did it .. no need for it to go on forever
