My friend 1990 integra ls clutch started slipping. When he bought the car the clutch had 20,000 to 22,000 miles on it. The clutch was good since he bought it about 6m onths ago but since yesterday the clutch started slipping when you step on the accelerator to WOT or even when he up shifts then accelerates. Like when he is at 3k rpm in 5th gear then he WOT in 5th the rpms jump right away to 5-5.5k rpm. Then come back down to 3K rpm. Recommended me/him a know good clutch !

 

ACT and Exedy are two of the leader brands. I have Competition Clutch in mine. Basically, what matters more htan the clutch plate itself, is the pressure plate. It's gotta be stronger, to hold the clutch down hard. 250-350 will get you a good clutch, depending on where you buy .

 

well i had a bad clutch on my 1990 integra too but i just got a F1 clutch from ebay and i will tell you how it feels when it comes in...

get master clutch street disc, its good i have mine for 4 yrs and still running.....racing disc don't last long

 

Get a clutch and pressure plate that is recommended for the torque you intend on having. Also go with reputable brands like ACT, Clutchmaster, or Exedy. Call someone who sells a lot of clutches and ask for recommendations.
