hey guys well im not new to the website but new to this section and i was wondering if this is a good deal for this car? im from the 06 civic section and im loving the car but i want a cheaper car that can be my daily driver and i saw this one what you guys think? see links plz, also should their be any conserns for these 97-00 civics? any issues or anything? im not a modder im noob to all this engine modding swaps etc etc im me if you dont want to reply thanks guys

im torn between an si which is a stick only or other editions? dont flame but i havnt used stick shift since a very long time years so i dont know if i should consider it? i want black i could live with silver and i would perfer if its under the 100k mileage, i dont plan on doing engine swaps i think i would say 5gs would do it and should it be a consern about the mileage or its just a thing im going to say to my self "too many miles" whenever i see the metor?

this page has a 98 2dr black with 96k they are asking $4,990 they are doing the sopposly "invetory blowout" so maybe i can hassle them here is the website scroll down a bit and you'll see it

http://www.autofinancecenter.biz/

in my town theirs a guy selling a 00' si blue 85k salvage title and he wants $8,500 !!! thats alot for an si isnt it?

An automatic ex coupe badged as an Si with a wing a gymnastics team could do a dance routine on.

It's lowered for "performance"

The ABS light is on.

You'll have a cooler car if it's 100% stock. With that car you'll just be part of the "ricer" sterotype.

Especially when people hear the automatic gear change, baaaaaBAhabAbabababaaaaaaa

That's because we get ignorant/non-technical posts ALL the time.

I wouldn't buy that, the buyer probably won't let it go for less than the value of the "racing" mods he put on it.

Buy a stock car, you'll be replacing ricer parts anyways. Save yourself the shame/headache.

That's going to depend on your area. In my area, people think Em1's are worth their weight in gold. I've seen em1's with 150k miles on them listed for $8,000

http://www.kbb.com

They find pricing based on zip code and it's accurate IMO.

I got my 97 EX in MINT condition with 100K (almost exact) miles for 5,000 even. That was after looking at about 40 different civics in my area. Took forever to find a nice one in good shape, for a decent price. Good luck. But spare yourself the pain of that ebay car, please.

You're price range is right on. I wouldn't pay anymore than 5k for a 96-00 coupe. Just keep looking around. You want to find something that hasn't been messed with in good condition. If you find that, then 5k will be right around the reasonable price. If you find something that isn't up to those standards, then offer less... knowing that you will have to put some work into it.

Get what you want, its your car. just be aware that others may criticize, its just how the world is.

The first step to overcoming any problem is admitting that you have one .

hey man. it all comes down to what you think. you obiously like the car and if you think its a good deal the pick it up. your the one driving the car no one else.. it is what is it basically. if you think its worth it then go ahead and pick it up bro.

only thing i would do is take the wing off swap out the tails and lower it a little and youd have a nice daily with good MPG.

as far as adding I/H/E for a lil kick like you said. dont waste your time all your goin to do is just make ot louder and maybe 3-5 HP. personaly i prefer the sound of an intake over muffler.

So good luck and do what you want!

It's all personal preference...do you plan on using the vehicle as a Daily Driver?

when someone can't even install a battery correctly that's a telltale sign that everything else on the car is half assed...
