another dumb question but i am learning. im looking to sell my 92 gen 4 and i would like another gen 4 but i want the h22 or the h23 in my next one.

Can someone tell me what years and style code (u know type s or si) that these motors were available in these cars.

92 has H23 in Si model, F22 in S model
93-96 has H23 in Si model, H22 in Si VTEC model, and F22 in S model

You may get flamed but I will tell you anyway. Any model except the S will have a dohc h23 or h22. The H22 is vin bb1 and didn't come out until 93. All BB1 had stick shift and I think it only came in red black and britney blue pearl. The BB2 is the SI, SI 4WS and special edition with the H23. The SI was mad from 92 to 96. The SI 4WS was made from 92 to 94 and the eighth digit in its vin will read 6. I don't know what difference in the Vin the SE had but it came with leather seats and an H23. It was made at the end of the run in 95 and or 96 I believe. Also be aware that all 96 ludes, or cars for that matter, are obd2. And the electric luminescent (sp?) gauges were were in the last few years.

 

look for a 96 sr-V, you would be in heaven!
