Default External Coil H23A engine ... Can I use internal coiling distributor ?

Hello Lude Lovers,

I just kept a H23A japanese engine in my 92 Prelude and after connecting everything the car doesnt fireup at all, so I tried to see the distributor, its all junked up, is there anyway I could use my last engine's distrubutor with the external coil distributor engine. Also if someone has had experience of doing similar work with Prelude, could you please tell me as what could be other possible things that are going wrong to stop engine from running at all... Because I do not get any spark... nothing...

I would try to replace your rotor and cap first. For internal coil dizzys use the cap from a 99 or 00 civic si. Yes you could use your old external coil but you would have to wire it up. Check your G101 ground that screws into the engine right below where the external coil mounts.
