transmission problem

transmission problem
i got a 1997 prelude. has the clutchless transmission.
when i go into 2nd gear it like hesitates for a couple seconds then jolts into gear.
only does this in 2nd gear. then downshifting from 2nd gear back to first it does the same thing.
any ideas to what the problem could be?

clutchless transmission? do you mean an auto trans. if its an auto trans you have the trip tronic which is known to fail. also has been cover countless times, search around and you'll find info on it.
