Default Car is not boosting.........

well i decided to take my car out for a spin... I just pieced together a kit... anyways... my boost gauge is reading 0 even when i put the gas pedal to the floor... I thinK i got a really big boost leak but I can't find it.... retightened every coupler that I have and it still won't spool...turbine spins when its idling but won't spool when I mash on the gas... whats wrong here.... thanks Mike...

Setup:
Stock block b16a2 with cm stage 2 clutch in a 93 EX coupe
t3/t4 50trim .63ar
precision 350 intercooler
50mm bov
550 injectors
chipped p28
open dp
skunk2 IM
ramhorn manifold
38mm tial wastegate...etc.

the guy I bought the wastegate from said that it's got a .5 bar spring in it... so it should be boosting to around 7.25 psi... but like I said above... gauge says zero..

If the turbo doesn't spin, it's junk. Are the bearings coked up? Can you spin the wheels by hand?

Poor a little bit of Crisco vegetable oil into the compressor and turbine housing. Everything will be fine.

Did you just get the car running? Or did it just now stop making boost?

The turbo spools at idle but you don't build any boost? Was the turbo new? Are you positive that its good?

Is the WG stuck open? Does it even have a spring in it?

Who needs a wastegate that has a spring in it?

it sure sounds like the WG is wipe open. Take it off and see if the valve is stuck open or has no resistance behind it

be sure when you take it apart to hold it down so the bolts dont strip the holes, or you have to drill n tap new ones. Also when your putting the cap back on be careful not to pinch your diaphragm.

Like "thepariah25" just said, make sure that the valve seat is in there.

If it is not, the valve will not close all the way. When you look at the WG the bottom that connects to the manifold should have a metal ring inside it that sits flush in there.

I had a tial 35mm wg that i bought from a user on here. I couldn't figure out why it would not close all the way. Turned out that they put a 38mm valve seat in it instead of the 35mm. I don't think this is the case for your problem, but it was rather annoying trying to figure that out haha.

Make yourself a boost leak tester.

What kind of bov do you have?

Have seen isues with bows too slack(If you have a 50mm tial forget this), and vacum not properly setup.

It may be an error source

make sure that you put the fire ring on the wastegate or you will not be able to build any boost.

does your guage read vaccuum when at idle? If not, then the guage is wrong. How big is the turbo? When tuning a t67 once, we didn't think the turbo was spooling until we hit like 5000 rpms and then that **** kicked in.
