Default Stolen lug nuts + Not knowing = Disaster

Story:
Most ridiculous day of my life, also the most i've been mad in a while. So i live in a decent college town in a decent apartment/townhouse complex. My car was messed with before so i started parking somewhere else. But this was the worst of all...was on my way to the gym and was backing out. Heard this weird noise, thought it was my bumper scraping on those parking guard cement things. And all of a sudden my wheels drop out of the studs. I get out and realized someone had stolen ALL but 1 lug on 1 wheel.......my rotors and whole chasis hit the ground on the driver's side and the front driver side wheel rolled into the fender free fender roll! yeah right...Well bought some new lugs WITH locks this time, and drove around and seemed fine. And the ironic thing about this is was i was laughing so hard when i saw the vid of the RX-7 trying to autocross with no lugs at all and lost all 4 wheels..

Problem:
So my question is..when my chasis hit the ground did it damage anything, although it seemed to have driven fine afterwards? I don't want to have a problem with something while im driving later on and avoid even more disaster.

if i were you, i would take precautions like...

taking the car to get and alingment reading to see if the suspension is in proper working order. jack up the car and visually inspect for damages, etc.

Definitely the best thing you can do is go to a shop and get an alignment, and ask them to check for anything "weird" or messed up. Take no precautions.

expletive thieves!!!

expletive that sucks. Did you take any pics? I would guess the suspension would have kept the car from bottoming out? I have aftermarket suspension as well and I've wondered about this happening as well. ******* thieves. I think I want to just sell my GSR.

Poor college student, can't afford a house with a garage.

have yet to take pics, ya it wasn't completely bottomed out, the rotors, cv joint, and balljoint were the only things keeping it up. My studs were also almost balded off because of the impact, and the inner wheel well of my wheels also had damage from scratching the studs on it's way out.

I don't know if someone did this as a prank or was in the middle of jacking my wheels and were seen in action and ran away. But this is ridiculous, if i didn't notice and were going a faster speed on the highway it could've been much worse...thieves/vandals

You go to UCD? That's the first time I've heard of something like that here.

Was it at night? If it was, it could've been some drunk kids wrecking cars. I know a guy that got his RX-7 trashed because of that.

Yup UC Davis..beginning to hate this place more and more. You would think you can trust your car in a private parking area where i've only seen college students around. Not sure when it happened, it was left untouched/unseen for probably 24 hours, when i found out it was during the day. Yeah the possibility of drunks is likely cuz i know davis does not have that high of a crime/theft rate, although someone broke into my girl's car and took her laptop, ipod and books at the university mall.

That rx7 put on incorrect lug nuts with threads that were bigger that's why they came loose. They was tight enough to hold 80 ft/lbs but not the weight of the car pushing on them.

dang, someone tried to steal my stock wheels once, they took 3 lugs off of one wheel and left the lock on there. I actually drove it down the street and around the corner to the car wash, washed my car, and didn't notice it until I was drying off the car.

Wow. I live right next to UMall (on wake forest, and I'm moving to Sycamore lane apts) and I park my car on the street. I've heard of theft related stuff in south Davis, but nothing much around central Davis.
