Default 94 ACCORD a/c problem

I have a 94 accord, the ac in the car does not get cold at all, the compressor clutch is working, but i hear a sound under the passenger side of the dash, it sounds like the freon is rushing through it. it is a weird noise, just wondering if any of you tech people have had this problem or you know a fix for this. I live in Houston texas and we have about 90% humidity and You have to have ac.
thank you

I had a 94EX before and had an A/C problem. Best to bring to dealer to get the unit fixed unless you know how. Humidity in summer sucks without A/C...especially in HOUSTON!!!!

There is a sight glass in the system somewhere, mine is on the drivers side just behind the headlight, anyhow look in the glass while the system is running, if you see a relatively clear liquid with the occasional bubble you are good, if you see a lot of bubbles while it's running the charge is low.

i dont have ac either, but it is not a waste i would say. i live in fl where it is 95 degress, while the humidty is 95%. this is my second summer with no ac, and it sucks. hopefully, ill be able to sell the car and no more ac trouble.

Could be a bad expansion valve or a low charge (caused by a leak). Probably no sight glass on your 94.

93 had the sight glass, seems they always remove things that people can use...

Not having A/C in a street car is insane. Oh, there are people out that think they have racecars or something.

Does the tick sound like something clicking on... then clicking off? if it's that it's the refrigerant temp switch, it turns off the compressor before the refrigerant freezes up, then it's supposed to click back on when the refrigerant warms up a bit. If it's a constant ticking that seems to go in sync with how fast the fan is going you might have a leaf or something stuck in the blower housing.

well i mean it gets kinda cold..but not that cold just bc of no tint + 95 degrees = hella hot!!...and it just takes awhile to kick it....but yeah its a constant ticking noise...i got that switch replaced last june so it shouldnt be out already..even though those have been known to give out pretty quickly...
how do i get to the blower housing? if anyone can scan a pic or something for me outta a helms that would be great

I just prefer to have fresh air and my windows open. Thats why with my swap the ac will disappear.
