dead battery and ecu code 16????
a few months ago i installed a keypad starter kill in my 91 crx dx, and every month or two it hesitates for a few minutes before starting up. about 3 or 4 weeks ago it happened, and again in another week. finally the next day it happened again and I had to jump start it. I haven't done any work on it that would change anything with the starter kill. I'm thinking it's either the fuel injectors themselves, or a short somewhere. i've looked and tried to troubleshoot using the techniques they gave to diagnose it, but i don't currently own a multimeter and was hoping that someone could help a brother out by pointing me in the right direction. thanks guys!
anyone??? i could really use some help here. i assume that it's a combination of bad fuel injectors and a short that's draining the battery but that's just a guess. any help would be appreciated!!
FYI, when ever your car won't start but will crank, most often a code 16 appears. Does not mean something is wrong in that circuit, it just happens. Just like when a car dies out while driving, the battery light will go on.
no, the solder joints on the main relay had hairline cracks, causing them to seperate when hot or cold. i just broke out the soldering iron and it was an easy fix. thanks for the comment though, i appreciate it
