i saw those at A&J tonite when I was there --- and i was wondering the same thing

they look like a small amplifier.

you could probably use a multi-farad capacitor to do the same thing

if you are using a ton of electronic equipment I suppose they could be helpful in protecting the equipment - but that's what fuses are for right?

BPR - who is very interested in the T1R 4-pot calipers A&J is developing....look sweet!

in outright power output you probably won't see much of a measurable difference.... however in terms of drivability, you may notice it being much smoother. In other instances, things like your headlights won't dim when you down the power windows..or the idle won't fluctuate as much.

It's a nice little thing to have particularly when you're just itching to do something small with certain benefits without breaking the bank. Just don't expect it to hit like a shot of NAWWZ or something...

I sure do, thanks to Sr....

It's still in the box though...

I'll most likely be putting a small stereo system in the DD so I might give it a whirl.

Only if you run the sticker on your car too.

I thought the stabilizer kit was like Big Phat suggested, just a capacitor to smooth out voltage drops (like when your lights dim for a bit when you switch on the AC or something).

Does that even affect engine power?

I have the buddyclub one. Since putting it on, I've felt my car idling a lot smoother. As for lights dimming and stuff, I don't know? I have a small system with a capacitor cap so it doesn't really put too much strain on my battery or alternator.

I have one also, just seeing if others with them see anything. Thought it may be one of those gimics

ill look for fluctuations while driving.

I have the T1R ground and volt stabilizer. They do work, smoother power delivery and less voltage drop. Good mod for the $

You bet they do!

Seriously though, I won mine at the Expo and put it on my Civic Wagon DD. The only thing I have noticed is the back lighting on my head unit doesn't dim anymore when the sub hits. I'm sure it's just a capacitor of some kind.

I have a Buddy Club on my R, I noticed the R runs smoother under partial throttle.

maybe time for a re-location

I personally rate these things about as high as the Tornado:

I have the Pivot stabilizer and grounding kit, i bought it because i thought it might get rid of the white noise in the back ground when i have the stereo on and my lights on (HID plug n' play kit) plus it was cheap, so i bought it and fitted it (5 earth points on the kit) switched on the radio and the lights and did it get rid of the back ground white noise....did it f**k!!!! havent noticed any other differences since fitting it...so IMO its a pile of crap, but i'm too lazy to take it off.

To an extent it is, but it does "stabilize" the voltage of the car, by taking the grunt of a big power draw... say a sub with an amp for instance. It's mainly a ricer box though. You know how kids want to put a big *** MSD 7AL or something under their hood on stock motors hard parking for days. It's kind of like that.
